Our Story

I didn’t set out to build a new kind of insurance company.

I originally studied insurance to become a traditional agent—and along the way, I realized something: the way most insurance is sold is not designed first for the client.

As I learned more, I discovered the strategies typically reserved for high-net-worth individuals—structures that build assets, protect families, and quietly work in the background for decades. It became clear that these same tools could be democratized and redirected toward one of the biggest problems in America: student debt.

Scholastic Insurance Initiative was created to do exactly that.

Our agents are salaried employees with benefits, not commissioned salespeople. They are not incentivized to chase commissions that can reach 100–300% of a client’s first-year premium with traditional carriers. Their job is simple: to serve students and families with clarity, transparency, and long-term alignment.

After sharing this concept with stakeholders across the United States—educators, parents, students, and community leaders—the response was consistent: nearly everyone knows someone weighed down by student loans, whether it’s their own children, grandchildren, or friends. Those conversations, and the stories behind them, are what shaped our mission: to give students a fair, dignified way to build protection and assets in a system where they’ve had very little say.
